Mars turned retrograde on January 6th..

Our memories...looking at our past "stories" with FRESH EYES šŸ‘€..

Offers liberations ..like Never before!!!!

It's now a most opportunistic cycle to bask in deep shadow work..clearing / cleansing our old "haunts" of behaviors.. & reactive patterns!

Let me state this concept another way-

Some kinda emotionally " charged " event..that held impacts of feelings; is wanting an even deeper understanding / thus release !!!

Our adult self..can help our inner child / our little self now release that embedded programming !!!

And ..that's VERY HEALING !

Points regarding YOU managing methods / habits of negativity :

"From an Indigenous perspective, rooted in the interconnectedness of all life, the understanding of "bad medicine" reflects the profound impact of our thoughts, words, and actions on the spiritual, emotional, mental, physical and volitional well-being of ourselves and others. In Dakota teachings, all forms of energyā€”whether positive or negativeā€”carry spiritual weight, rippling outward to affect the sacred circle of life. This understanding emphasizes the sacred responsibility we bear in cultivating harmony, respect, and reciprocity in all our relationships.

The four kinds of "bad medicine"ā€”negative thoughts, backbiting and gossip, negative words, and dirty looksā€”are like spiritual toxins that poison the well of community. They disrupt the balance and harmony of the sacred hoop, harming not only those directly involved but also the broader human family and Mother Earth.

Among these, backbiting and gossip are considered the most harmful, as they strike at the very heart of trust and unity within a community. In Dakota symbolism, this is akin to a sharp blade cutting through the threads of a sacred web, unraveling the strength and integrity of the collective.

Negative Thoughts: In Dakota teachings, our thoughts are sacred; they are prayers sent to Wakan Tanka, the Great Spirit. Negative thoughts, however, are like dark clouds that block the light of the Creator's wisdom. They not only burden the one who carries them but also diminish the collective energy of the community. These thoughts can take root like invasive weeds, choking the growth of good relationships and mutual understanding.

Backbiting and Gossip: These are seen as the most damaging forms of bad medicine because they erode trustā€”the cornerstone of all relationships. Words spoken behind someone's back carry the weight of unseen arrows, wounding the spirit and creating divisions within the sacred hoop. In Dakota symbolism, backbiting is like a fire set deliberately in the heart of a forest; it spreads unseen, consuming all in its path and leaving destruction that takes generations to heal.

Negative Words: Words are sacred; they hold the power of creation and destruction. In Dakota teachings, the spoken word is likened to the breath of life itself, imbued with spiritual energy. Negative words are like polluted winds that carry illness and despair. They harm not only the one who hears them but also the one who speaks them, for such words return to their source like a boomerang, leaving spiritual scars.

Dirty Looks: The eyes are a window to the soul, and the energy we project through them can either uplift or harm. A dirty look, filled with anger or disdain, is like a thunderstorm without rainā€”it carries the destructive power of lightning but offers no healing or renewal. In the Dakota way, even a single glance can alter the spirit of another, for we are all deeply connected.

To counteract these forms of bad medicine, the teachings of the Sacred Pipe and the Sacred Circle remind us to cultivate four kinds of ā€œgood medicineā€: positive thoughts, kind and truthful words, acts of compassion, and a loving gaze. These are the medicines that strengthen the sacred hoop, bringing healing, unity, and peace to ourselves, our families, and our communities.

As we walk this sacred path, let us remember that every thought, word, and action is a thread in the tapestry of life. By choosing good medicine, we honor Wakan Tanka, the Creator, and ensure that the sacred hoop remains unbroken for generations to come. In this way, we align our spirits with the eternal rhythms of the Great Mystery, walking in balance with all our relativesā€”human and non-human alike.
