December Skies

more🪐 View Planet Parade in December 🪐 Observers from the Earth will have a chance to spot the planet parade at the beginning of December. Five planets will gather in one sky area: 🌟 Venus (-4.7m) 🌟 Saturn (0.9m) 🌟 Jupiter (-1.8 ) 🌟 Neptun (7.7) 🌟 Uranus (6.0) The dwarf planet Ceres (6.9), a large asteroid Pallas (7.6), and the Moon (-11.4) will settle nearby. The best time to observe them is December 12, 2021; look for the celestial objects right after sunset. Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, and the Moon will be visible to the naked eye. A pair of binoculars or a small telescope will help you to see the dimmer Neptune, Uranus, Ceres, and Pallas. 🔭 * Although there is now an official scientific definition of the term “planet parade,” astronomers use it to denote an astronomical event that happens when Solar System planets line up in the same sky area as seen from the Earth. #astronomy #planets #Venus #Jupiter #moon
